Hagan enters race with a focus on jobs, life, immigration, and healthcare

ALLIANCE, OH – Rep. Christina Hagan announced today that she is a Republican candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Ohio’s 13th Congressional District. Hagan, an Alliance, OH resident, is a former Ohio State legislator.

“It has become clear that the stakes are too high for strong, principled conservatives to sit on the sidelines,” Hagan said. “Radical Democrat Congress Members are working every day to undermine the very foundation of our representative republic and the values we hold dear, including the rights of the unborn, the right to bear arms, the right to secure our borders, and defend our jobs from being sent overseas.”

“I stand firmly behind the candidacy of Christina Hagan,” Former Ohio Lt. Governor Mary Taylor said. “Christina is the bold conservative fighter we need to win the 13th Congressional district.”

“Christina Hagan has the unique capacity as a candidate to raise the money we need to win from both the grassroots and leaders in the movement,” said Summit County Republican Bryan Williams. “Her experience and raw ability will pose an immediate challenge to Tim Ryan.”

“Christina Hagan has a record of representing and fighting for the voters that send her to work,” said Stark County Republican Jeff Matthews. “She is the type of bold and consistent conservative that we all believe makes northeast Ohio stronger.”

“Christina Hagan’s leadership and name are known across Northeast Ohio, we are excited about her candidacy and eagerness to join the fight,” said Mahoning County Republican Tom Mccabe. “She has a proven track record of leading on tough issues and winning for her community. She is the type of Representative that will work, serve and restore America’s middle class.”

“I am thrilled to have a pro-second amendment candidate!” Amanda Suffecool and Rob Campbell, hosts of the nationally syndicated -Ohio based “Eye on the Target Radio.”

Hagan previously received the endorsement of the NRA in her most recent run for office for her consistent record of defending second amendment rights.

Rep. Hagan continued:

“I am truly grateful for the endorsement of Lt. Gov Mary Taylor, as well as the outstanding support of Republican leaders like Bryan Williams, Jeff Matthews, Tom Mccabe, and Amanda Suffecool. I am also honored to have received such a tremendous outpouring of encouragement from support inside the district, around Ohio, and across the Nation.”

Christina Hagan is a native of Alliance, Ohio. A Business graduate of Malone University, Christina went on to serve four terms in the Ohio State House, where she was the state’s most vocal advocate for Ohio’s ‘Heartbeat bill.’ In 2016, she was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 for her legislative work on restoring Ohio’s reputation as a national economic leader by working to create a better business climate to sustain a robust private sector job market. She was also asked to serve as an Ohio TV and radio surrogate on the successful presidential campaign of President Donald J. Trump, who carried her state by over 8% and her county by over 17%. After wrapping up a strong re-election campaign to the Ohio Statehouse, Hagan was asked to become an international delegate for the American Council of Young Political Leaders.

As the next Congresswoman from Ohio’s 13th district, Hagan will focus on creating a better business climate, fixing our Nation’s broken healthcare system, securing our Nation’s borders, supporting a merit-based immigration system, and defending the lives of the unborn.
