(OH-13) – Representative Christina Hagan, Republican nominee for Ohio’s 13th Congressional District, announced that President Donald J. Trump endorsed her candidacy for Congress late yesterday. Hagan, who served four terms in the Ohio House of Representatives, recently bested six other Republican candidates in the Republican primary with 67% of the vote.
The President announced his support of Rep. Hagan via Twitter on Friday evening:
Rep. Hagan issued the following statement regarding the President’s endorsement.
“I want to thank President Trump for his support of a strong, working class mother for Ohio’s 13th Congressional District. I’m honored that the President believes in me and believes in what we are fighting for in Northeast Ohio. Together, we can bring good paying jobs back to our region, repatriate our manufacturing base, and provide real opportunities for the next generation of Americans. I am humbled by his support and our team is fired up and ready to flip this seat in November and bring conservative solutions to Congress!”
Representative Christina Hagan was elected to the 50th Ohio House District, becoming the youngest female to ever serve in the Ohio House of Representatives. Christina was nationally recognized by Forbes magazine, who named her one of their 30 Under 30 for her legislative work on restoring Ohio’s reputation as a national economic leader. She and her husband Adam are lifelong residents of Northeast Ohio, where they are raising their three children.
